Departmental details :

In Metabolic & Endocrine OPD, on regular basis there is patient teaching & audio visual programme, in addition to this camps are organised in which with the help of pharmaceutical companies, there is regular awareness programme for patients and their various biochemical tests are being done.
This department has contributed in various national and international symposiums related to the subject.

Guest lecture relevant to metabolic & endocrine work has been delivered from time to time by the faculty, in various cities of western U.P. in the form of symposiums and CME.

Every year one DM-Endocrine candidate passes from this department.
Blood investigations like blood glucose, calcium, phosphorous, alkaline phosphate, serum creatinine, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride, urea, uric acid, etc. are done. Urine investigations like routine and microscopy, ph, Ca, P, Mg, creatinine, 17KS, 17 KGS, 17 OHCS, are also being done.

In metabolic department diabetes, blood pressure, hormone related other disorders, fluorosis, inborn errors of metabolism, goitre, infertility, renal stones, etc. are looked after and research work relevant to it is done.

There is one professor in department who has OPD on Wednesdays & Saturdays from 8.00 a.m. , on rest of days Senior Residents look after OPD.

In HME ward there are well-furnished 24 beds, with all necessary equipments.
Appropriate charges are taken according to the norm for above investigations.
